User Account - Confirmation Email

To complete your account creation on HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov, you will receive an email to verify your email address. If you do not receive a verification email within several minutes of creating your account, check your Spam or Junk folders to make sure the email was not misdirected.

If you are still experiencing an issue or are unable to access your account, please contact us at HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov/Support.

User Account - Username

For your account on HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov, the “username” is the email address used to register for the account. If you receive an error while signing in, make sure:

  • You are using the correct email address
  • There are no blank spaces or other characters in the text box for the email address
  • Your email address is not being autofilled by your browser.

Check for a second Coursera account

If you've signed in to Coursera with different email addresses, you may have accidentally made multiple accounts.

To check for another account with a different email address:

User Account - Username Browser Error

Dear Counselor,

If you experience an error that states username is required when trying to create a new account and there is no field to enter a username, please try the following actions:

  1. Type the information into the fields instead of allowing your browser's autofill to complete the fields, particularly the email address
  2. Try another web browser

Please note that once your account is created successfully, your username for logging in will be your email address. 

User Account - Name Updates

Dear Counselor,

The exam registration instructions and your confirmation email both state that your exam registration must match your government-issued ID. 

First, you must update your name in your HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov User Profile by logging into your account and selecting "Edit" on the User Profile Dashboard.

Next, you must transfer the update to Kryterion's Webassessor site. In order to transmit the new information to Webassessor: 

User Account - Webassessor

Dear Counselor,

After signing in to the HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov site, users are not required to enter username and password credentials to access Webassessor. Your HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov user account automatically logs you into Webassessor.

There is a known browser error in which candidates are sometimes kicked out of Webassessor and asked to log back in.

User Account - Unlocked

Dear Counselor,

Your account has been manually unlocked.

Please note that the Forgot Password? tool will send a message to your email with a link to verify you as the account holder. The password reset does not provide a new password, and you will need to set a new account password after email verification.
