Before using HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov, please read these Terms of Use (“Agreement”) completely. HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov is owned by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”) and operated by Ajanta Consulting, LLC. (“Ajanta”). This Agreement documents the legally binding terms and conditions attached to the use of the website at HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov. By using or accessing the website in any way, viewing or browsing the website, or adding your own content to the website, you are agreeing to be bound by this Agreement.

Termination

HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov reserves the right to terminate your access to the website, without any advance notice.

User accounts in which the email address has not been validated within 90 days will be automatically terminated. Usernames with a prohibited Top Level Domain (TLD) are not permitted. HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov is for residents of the United Stated and its territories only.

Our website contains a number of links to other websites and online resources that are not owned or controlled by HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov. We have no control over, and therefore cannot assume responsibility for, the content or general practices of any of these third-party websites and/or services. We strongly advise you to read the entire terms and conditions and privacy policy of any website that you visit as a result of following a link that is posted on our website.

Exam Appointment Refund/Cancellation/Reschedule/No-Show

By purchasing the exam through the system all purchasers acknowledge that they have read the rules and agree to abide by them.

Test Center (Onsite) Proctoring Reschedule & Cancellation Policy:
You may reschedule or cancel your testing-center registration at least 72 hours before the scheduled start time of your exam without incurring an additional fee.


Reschedules and cancellations more than 72 hours before your exam start time can be completed free of charge through your HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov account. If you reschedule or cancel within 72 hours of your scheduled exam start time, you may be charged an additional fee.

Online Proctoring Reschedule & Cancellation Policy:
You may reschedule or cancel your online proctored registration at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time of your exam without incurring an additional fee.
 
Reschedules and cancellations more than 24 hours before your exam start time can be completed free of charge through your HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov account. If you reschedule or cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled exam start time, you may be charged an additional fee.

Extenuating Circumstances

Candidates may request via HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov/Support a refund or reschedule fee waiver due to documented extenuating circumstances. In cases of emergency, requests submitted after the scheduled exam has expired will be reviewed. Refund and fee waiver requests must be accompanied by documentation and are subject to review on a case-by-case basis. Refunds and fee waivers are not guaranteed.

Request for refunds or fee waivers will not be considered for cases in which the candidate failed to

  • obey any rule or guideline outlined in HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov content or related email communication;
  • obey proctor instructions; or
  • seek immediate assistance to resolve an issue related to the exam.

Changes to This Agreement

HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov reserves the right to modify the Terms of Service at any time. We will post any and all updated terms on the website. Your decision to continue to visit and make use of the website after such changes have been made constitutes your formal acceptance of the new Terms of Service. Therefore, we ask that you check and review this Agreement for such changes on an occasional basis. Should you not agree to any provision of this Agreement or any changes we make to this Agreement, we ask and advise that you do not use or continue to access HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov immediately.
