Viewing Content

The content moves too quickly or too slowly. What can I do?

There are several ways to control the speed that the content is presented. Here’s how.

I think I may have missed some content. How can I be sure I see all content?

You’ll find content presented in every “content dot” on a slide. Be sure you view all of it. Some slides do not contain content dots.

Be sure to view content in each content dot from start to finish. You can gauge your progress by checking the seekbar slider status.

Avoid selecting the Next button until all content dots and associated seekbars have played from start to end.

Also, you’ll find expanded content for many topics by selecting boxes and graphics. If you see any of these, or other similar type elements, be sure to select them.

Is there a place to find the glossary items, resources and websites that are referenced in the course?

Yes. You’ll find this information in the Glossary tab and the Resources tab at the top of the screen. The information is also in the Study Guide.

I missed part of a dialogue, so I selected the previous button to review it. It brought me back too far and I had to view the entire dialogue over again. Can I avoid this?

Yes. To review only a small piece of content, say, a caption in a dialogue, you can drag the seekbar slider to the left or right to control content presentation.

I already completed the module, but I want to study one particular content area again. How can I find that content?

Use the Menu tab at the top of the screen to navigate to a particular section of the course.

Saving Work

I need to step-away from the course and don’t want to lose my work, or start from the beginning. Can I do that?

Yes. The last page you visited in a module will automatically be “bookmarked” and your knowledge check answers will be saved. When you return to the module you will be asked if you’d like to continue where you left off.

Knowledge Checks

I didn’t get all the knowledge checks correct. Can I try the questions again?

Yes. You have two attempts to choose the correct answer when completing module knowledge checks. Also, on the last slide of a module, you can click on the Retry Questions button. This will erase your previous answers, and take you through all the knowledge checks again.

Also, be sure to study all feedback provided in the knowledge checks. This is another opportunity for learning.

Module Order

Do I have to take all the modules?

No. Reviewing the course content is not required. However, to increase certification exam pass rates, candidates are highly encouraged to study the course content. Candidates will show competency in the topics presented in the course, to the depth and breadth presented in the course, by passing the certification exam.

Is it important to take the modules in order?

Each module is stand alone. However, we suggest you take modules in order as content builds on itself. If you plan to take only certain modules, we recommend you take associated submodules in order. For example, Module 5 contains three submodules (5.1, 5.2, and 5.3), so we recommend you take the three Module 5 submodules in order.
